Chikkamagaluru: A distressing incident unfolded when a speeding private bus collided with students waiting at a bus stop near the Kaval Duglapura gate in Tarikere taluk, Chikkamagaluru district.

The accident left two students severely injured. Fortunately, five other children at the scene escaped unharmed. The injured students, Tulsi (15) and Nivedita (14), were immediately rushed to Shimoga Meggan Hospital in critical condition for urgent medical care.

Tulsi, a ninth-grade student at Balikere Government High School and a resident of Seethapura Kavalu in Tarikere taluk, is the daughter of Manju and Latha.
