Kalaburagi: A novel form of deception involves posting images of livestock and defrauding individuals. A farmer was ensnared in this scheme, but luck seemed to favor him. The Kalaburagi district police effectively resolved the case, and the farmer has now been reimbursed Rs 38,167, recovering his stolen funds.

On March 20th, an individual with fraudulent intentions created a Facebook account using the name of Jaipur, Rajasthan. They posted an image featuring two impressive Khilari bulls, priced at Rs 70,000. Mallikarjuna from Marathur in Kalaburagi district initiated contact with this person through Facebook chat.

The scammer managed to extract a total of Rs 52,000 from Mallikarjuna, who had agreed to purchase the cows. After receiving the funds in his account, the fraudster abruptly turned off his mobile phone, failing to deliver the promised two bullocks.

Deeply concerned by this situation, farmer Mallikarjuna promptly dialed 1930 and contacted the District Senior Police, who swiftly initiated a case during the “Golden Hour.” Under the guidance of PI Parashuram Vananjakar, they swiftly carried out an operation, freezing the funds held in the scammer’s account. Consequently, the police successfully recovered Rs 38,000 for the farmer.

Under the leadership of Parashuram Vananjakar, along with PSI Sridevi, and the assistance of staff members Siddu Poojary, Kushanna Gudur, and Siddu Patil, a team summoned farmer Mallikarjuna to their office. During this meeting, they requested the return of Rs 38,165 from him, which the police confirmed was successfully refunded.

In case anyone becomes a victim of fraud on a social networking site, they can immediately call 1930, and the police will do everything possible to transfer the scammer’s funds to another account within their “Golden Hour.” There are possibilities for locking the scammer’s account. The police have cautioned the public to remain vigilant about such fraudsters.
