Mysuru: A 45 -year-old man has been sentenced to twenty years of rigorous imprisonment, by the Mysuru district  POCSO fast track court for sexually harassing a three-year-old girl child in a village under Belikere police station limits in the year 2019.

On  Thursday September 9 the judge of the Court,  Justice Shyama Kamrose found the accused  Jagadish (45), a native  Belikere guilty of the offence and sentenced him to twenty years of rigorous imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 50000.

According to the prosecution, Jagadish took away the girl on the pretext of giving her a chocolate to the nearby forest while she was playing in front of her house. A case in this regard was filed in Belikere police station.
