According to police, a 17-year-old kid was taken into custody for reportedly placing a camera-equipped cell phone inside the women’s lavatory of Kastruba Medical College.
The cell phone started ringing today, and the security staff found it, which is when the issue was discovered, they claimed.
The child was arrested using the information found on the phone after the college administration turned it over to the police.
A case has been filed under the relevant Indian Penal Code section at the city’s North Police Station.
It is alleged that the defendant entered the college under false pretenses as a patient.
In accordance with due process, he was later presented before the Juvenile Justice Board.
