Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner D Randeep has called upon the youth to take up more social services and contribute a bit towards the welfare of society.
Speaking after launching a mobile app ‘ILUVMYSURU’ created by eight employees of Theorem Private Limited at its premise in Hebbal on Friday, he said “It’s a really good initiative on account of the youth. Being an engineer, I know that time is always a constraint. We must strive to make it more accessible for people who do not know much about the city like how to reach Mysuru, good and reasonable hotels and accommodation, tourists spots, hospitals and other emergency services, along with other necessary information”. He also mentioned that today’s youth have a lot of disconnect, especially in urban areas.
Theorem Inc is a US head quartered global leader in digital marketing and offers services across the digital marketing campaigns related to creative development, media operations reporting and analytics. Theorem has developed a mobile app called ILUMYSURU dedicated to the city of Mysuru, its citizens and tourists. The application provides all the important information a tourist could fetch such as upcoming events, places of interest with routes, accommodation and restaurant information, hospital emergency services and much more. The app is integrated with google maps to help users navigate their destinations. This application is free for download and is available on both Apple and android phones.
Being launched on the auspicious occasion of Dasara, this application would be a great help to tourists during this festival and even afterwards. Subsequently, this application can be used by the citizens of Mysuru to engage effectively with the administration on civic concerns and would allow the district administration to view complaints and monitor their progress untill they are resolved.
