Mysuru: A alcoholic youth, who was battling depression, ultimately killed himself after he ran out of money to buy alcohol.

The deceased is Bharath (28), resident of Saraswathipuram, here.

Bharat had studied till II PUC and was employed in a private firm.

Over the last two years, he has been fighting depression and had also got addicted to alcohol.

It is said that he had stopped socialising with people and used to stay confined to room most of the time.

On Friday he resorted to ending his life after he failed to get money to purchase alcohol.

Case has been registered.
