Youth cautioned against falling prey to drug abuse

Mysore: A capacity building workshop for members of the Vokkaliga community was inaugurated at Govardhan Hotel in the city on Friday, April 18. The workshop organised by Karnataka Rajya Vokkaligara Vikasa Vedike was inaugurated  by Sarojamma Tulasidasappa.

In her address, she urged various Vokkaliga organisations to strive towards solving the problems of the community by giving top priority to education of their members.

Touching upon social issues, she expressed grave concern over rising cases of divorce and urged the organisations to give a serious thought to the issue. Efforts must also be made to set up old age homes, she said.

Dr SP Yoganna  who spoke as a chief guest  urged  the youth not to fall prey to drug abuse. HL Yamuna President of the Vedike.  Nandini Murthi, senior officer of VLCC, TR Chandrashekhar, Proprietor of Crystal Park-In, Dr BK Vijayakumar and others were present.
