Yet again court denies bail to Marigowda in threat to DC case

Mysuru: On Monday, III JMFC Court Judge Deepa denied bail to Marigowda stating that the accused is a powerful politician and there are chances that he could intimidate witnesses.
Marigowda’s bail plea to come up for hearing today-1The judge refused to grant bail to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s close aide and former Mysuru ZP President K Marigowda in the case pertaining to intimidation of Mysuru DC C Shikha. The judge observed that when the accused went absconding after intimidating DC, the witnesses were reluctant to give their statements in the Court and there are chances of damaging the evidence once he is released on bail.

After the High Court rejected bail and asked to surrender and apply for bail, Marigowda, who was absconding for a month after threatening the DC, surrendered before Nazarbad Police on August  3. The Court had sent him to judicial custody till August 16.
