Mysuru: In the elections held for the membership of Mysuru Race Club, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Odeyar has won record number of votes and has been elected in his first attempt itself.
The club has total strength of 250 members and 10 seats are still vacant. Yaduveer facing elections for the first time secured highest number of votes in his first attempt.
Jaya Chamarajendra Odeyar started the club and Yaduveer’s father late Shrikantadutta Narasimha Raja Odeyar too had succeeded in winning the elections. But due to his death the seat was vacant. From decades, the royal family members have been winning these elections.
The elections have also hinted at his entry into politics, say citizens of Mysuru.
