Mysuru: Birthday celebration of Goddess Chamundeshwari was held with all grandeur, at the hilltop shrine at Chamundibetta here on July 16.

Special prayers were offered by Wadiyar Prince Yaduveer on Sunday, on auspicious day of Sankramana.

He offered ‘prasadam’ to the devotees in the temple premises after offering prayers to the Goddess.

Speaking to reporters, Yaduveer said that the month of Ashada is supposed to have got several special aspects attached to it and Goddess Chamundeshwari’s birthday too is one of them.
