Will fulfill police personnel’s just demands: CM

Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah thanked the police personnel for not taking part in the mass leave protest and said that they have displayed their discipline by not heeding to calls from disgruntled elements.

Speaking to media on arrival at Lalitmahal Palace helipad, the CM assured of fulfilling the police personnel’s just demands. He said that the police personnel who were dismissed had tried to instigate the working personnel to take part in the protests through an unauthorized organization.

Regarding the Mysuru Palace photo shoot incident, Siddaramaiah said that irrespective of the status of persons involved, action will be taken against them. He would consult the deputy commissioner in this regard as a probe has already been ordered into the incident.

Reacting to the cash for vote scandal and the extensive media coverage after the sting operation, he said that irresponsible charges were leveled by former PM HD Devegowda. He also said the Congress party need not work against the JDS as they themselves will sink due to their internal differences.

The CM also said that there is nothing wrong in seeking votes from like-minded people and parties in a democratic setup in the ensuing Rajya Sabha elections as the votes are cast after displaying. He clarified that his party has no role in statements made by JDS leaders Cheluvarayaswamy and Zameer Ahmed.
