Mysuru: K Somashekar MLA Krishnaraja constituency inaugurated an exhibition of wildlife photographs in two categories, Zoo, and Wildlife, here yesterday. The exhibition was the result of a contest for photographers that began in September.

Altogether 76 Photographers participated in the exhibition with a total of 390 photographs in both Zoo (201) and Wildlife (189) being displayed. As many as 15 to 20 photographers were always waiting in the zoo to capture animal moments.
Madhusudhan S R and Pruthvi B were adjudged first prize winners in the Wildlife and Zoo Category respectively.
The winners will be awarded on the occasion of valedictory of the Youth Club of Mysore.
A pair of great Indian Rhinoceros were released today by R Lingappa Mayor at the premises. Three year old Male Virat and one year old Female Bubbli 5 brought from Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park Patna on exchange programme greeted the anxious public with a welcoming smile.
Now the Indian Rhinoceros will be an added attraction for tourists visiting Mysuru.
