Mysuru: The six-day Bahuroopi multilingual theatre festival began with renowned theatre director from Sri Lanka Parakrama Nireyalla unveiling “Indradwaj” at Vanaranga Auditorium on January 13.
Thousands of theatre lovers and few dignitaries were around to witness the inaugural event. The programme began in a traditional manner by ushering the guests followed by address by the chief guest. Director Parakrama Nireyalla was felicitated on the occasion.

Then there was suddenly a frenzy of excitement all around the stage. It was a rare moment when well known Indian veteran theatre actor, director and singer Jayashree sang to enthrall the audience. Minister Umashree, an actor herself, set the stage on fire when she danced to Jayashree’s song.

Her dance whipped up the crowd into a united frenzy which eventually sent everyone home on a high!
