Mysuru: The allegation made by Rajanna, Registrar of University of Mysore (UoM) against Dayanand Mane, its In-charge Vice Chancellor is far from truth, the Research Scholars’ Association students have claimed.

Addressing media persons at the Press Club here on Wednesday Bhagya, a research scholar of UoM, member of Varsity Dalit Students’ Association and Union of the Research Scholars said, “For the past many years, the hostel is lacking basic facilities against which the inmates had even staged protest many times. None of the officials listened to the students and it was Mane who responded to them and visited the hostel to know the ground reality. Considering the time of his visit, false allegations were made against him. Due to the reports published in the media, families of the students are getting worried and it will affect their education. It is unfortunate that we have to protest for the basic facilities such as food and drinking water,” she added.
