Mysuru: The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) has filed a case against the University Grants Commission (UGC) seeking justice after it was derecognised.

Thousands of students are affected by the UGC derecognition move since 2013, KSOU cited in its complaint, after all its back-end efforts failed to yield fruit. KSOU claimed that it provided all the documents sought by UGC for recognition but blamed the latter for not taking any action to save the students in limbo.

The case will come up for hearing in the court on November 14.
