Mysuru: Two district crime branch policemen were killed in a head-on collision between their jeep and a speeding KSRTC bus near Chikkahalli on Mysuru -T Narasipur road here on Saturday, January 28.

Jeep driver Laxman died on the spot while Inspector Mahesh Kumar (37) succumbed to the injuries while being shifted to the hospital. Both had suffered multiple injuries including in the head. They were on their way to Suttur Jathra Mahotsava when the KSRTC bus from the opposite direction headed from K R Pete to Pandavapura rammed into their jeep.

Siddartha Traffic Police Inspector Harish Kumar visited the spot and has registered the case. Inspector Mahesh along with few constables was on duty at Suttur fair where VIP and VVIP guests were expected in large numbers.
