Mysuru: A 21-year-old tutor who alleged raped four-year-old girl has been arrested by Vijayanagar Police here on Thursday.

According to Vijayanagar Police, the accused have been identified as Thimmaiah, resident of Hinkal.

On Wednesday, four-year-old girl had come for tuition and as there was no one at house including his mother, the alleged rapist Thimmaiah sent all other students early and held back the innocent four-year-old girl and alleged raped her.
The incident came to light when the girl went home and complained of pain to her mother. When parents further probed, the minor girl said that tuition master made her naked. The parents came to know about the incident and soon rushed to Thimmaiah’s house where he was not found. The locals on Thursday morning, found Thimmaiah and thrashed before handing him over to the Vijayanagar Police Station.
 Later Vijaynagar Police took the accused and the victim for hospital for medical examination. The police have booked the alleged accused under IPC 376 and also under POCSO act.
