Mysuru: The officials from Trujet who will be operating commercial flights from Mysuru to Chennai from September 15 visited Mysuru Airport here on September 5. As part of the promotional offer, the fare will be just Rs 951 which is just one rupee more than Shatabdhi Express train fare.
The officials were here to study the ground reality and prepare for operation of commercial flights from Mysuru. Along with Mysuru Airport Director Manoj Kumar Singh, the officials from Trujet went around the airport.
The commercial flights which were suspended since 17 November 2015 will again be operating flights from September 15. Everyday, Trujet will be operating a flight from Chennai to Mysuru. On September 15, the direct flight from Chennai will depart at 5.25 pm and reach Mysuru at 6.40 pm. After 25 minutes break, the flight will depart from Mysuru at 7.05 pm and reach Chennai at 8.20 pm. Now with this air connectivity, from Mysuru one can reach Chennai in just 1 hour 20 minutes.
Most of the people, especially the business persons and tourists preferred Shatabdhi Express to go to Chennai and it was taking six hours to reach. The online bookings have already started for the flight.
