Mysuru: A group of 20 tourists had an unforgettable experience midway through a day’s package organised by the state tourism department on Golden Chariot aka Suvarna Rath.
Tourists boarded the special train in Bengaluru last night at 8.30 pm and landed in Ashoka Puram Railway station this morning at 8.30 am. The district administration accorded a traditional welcome to them on arrival in the midst of folk dancers. Thrilled tourists danced to folk beats and danced along with the traditional folk dancers.
They were issued Gold cards by the state tourism department Managing Director Pushkar, DC D Randeep and Dy. Director of tourism H P Janradhan on the occasion.
“I kept my wife in the dark about our tour plans but she realised only we boarded the train last night at Yehswanthpur railway station”, said Puroshottam, a tourist accompanied by his Swarna Geetha. The hospitality and facilities extended by the tourism department made our journey, a pleasant experience , added Puroshattam.
For Kishore from US accompanying his 75-year-old father and 7-year-old son, it was a dream come true. Impressed with the five star facilities on offer in Golden Chariot, Kishore said, we made booking online once we decided to partake in Dasara.
“The experience is truly unforgettable one”, said Kishore sharing his joy.
