Mysore: In a tragic incident, the raised deck of a tipper truck touched a high tension wire, after which the truck caught fire  at BM Sri Nagar here on Sunday August 18.

Reportedly, the driver identified as 30-year-old Praveen suffered grave burn injuries in the accident and has been admitted to JSS Hospital.

Accordingly ,the tipper after unloading sand moved a bit forward with the deck in raised position, possibly in an attempt to empty the last layer of sand and came in contact with the overhead high tension wire.

Immediately the vehicle caught fire with the driver got trapped inside the vehicle in the fire.

A case has been registered in Metagalli Police station.
