Mysuru: In a tragic accident three persons were killed on the spot while four suffered serious injuries when the Tata Ace in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary lorry from behind at Kempaiahnahundi in T Narasipur Taluk here early Saturday morning.

The deceased identified as Mahadevamma (45), Basamma (36) and Raghu (25) are all residents of T Narasipur.

It is gathered that the driver having spent a sleepless night may have lost control of the vehicle thereby causing the accident. The local police who rushed to the spot within few minutes of the incident shifted the injured to KR Hospital for further treatment with the help of local people. They however faced a tough time in removing the dead bodies.

Reportedly, the group was on the way to Mysuru to take part in the vegetable auction. They used to travel almost every day to participate in the auction as they were involved in vegetable business.
