Mysuru: Ten children escaped with minor injuries after a lorry collided with a school van here at Devegowda circle on Ring road on Tuesday, July 12.

The school van was carrying ten children to Delhi Public school at Bhugathahalli from Shrirangapattana. Meanwhile, rice-laden lorry heading towards Kerala collided with the school van and dragged it for about 100meters. There were all the chances of the van toppling leading to a major mishap. But the alert driver however averted the tragedy.

Sidhartha traffic police have taken the lorry driver into custody and are further investigating.
