Mysuru: Considering the greenery around and with no clues of any unnatural chemical activity, the preliminary report says the occurrence of fire at the site which took the life of a teenager is due to the handiwork of few humans.

After carrying out inspection at the fire site, expert geologists said there was no semblance of any natural chemical reaction but few chemical substances had been thrown at the site and then covered with sand.

The Industrial and Boiler division director has submitted the primary report to the Deputy Commissioner today explaining the probable causes for the teenager’s death.

The fire appeared in one cent area of land surrounded by greenery raising many doubts. A team led by Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) Technical Committee member carried out inspections at the site and came to the conclusion that nothing unnatural had occurred at the fire site.

The Mysore taluk tahsildar has installed a warning sign board at the fire site banning entry of people. The sign board indicates that the spot is dangerous and people are asked to stay 200 meters away from the fire site.

However, investigations are in progress to assess other possible causes of fire at the site.
