Mysuru: Children’s Day was celebrated by Mysore Amity Round Table-156 and Mysore Amity Ladies Circle-108 here on Friday. They organised a painting event for specially-abled children ‘Taare Zameen Par’ at Vanaranga premises of Rangayana here.
R. Guru, Chairman, N.R Group, gave away the prizes to the children. He also appreciated the efforts of the Round Table members in organising the event for the special kids
Tr. K.K. Kailash, Area Secretary, Area 6, Cr. Masuma Vagh, National Vice President, Ladies Circle India, members of MART 156 and MALC 108 were present.
Nearly 130 students from 6 institutions of city took part in the event. The institutions present were Mercy Convent, JP Nagar, Swashya School, Kuvempunagar, Putta Veeramma School, Kuvempunagar, Chetana Trust, Kuvempunagar, Sai Vidya Samsthe, Bannimantap, the Deaf and Dumb School, Bannimantap.
Round Table India and Ladies Circle India are executing this competition in more than 70 cities and towns today covering 5000 differently abled kids.
