Mysuru: Law Minister T B Jayachandra defended senior Congress party leader B Janardhan Poojary for his open criticism of ministers and Chief Minister and said that those statements must be taken positively.
After convening a meeting of officials ahead of his visit to drought-hit areas, the minister responded to reporters queries on Poojary and said, “Poojary is a sincere person and a senior party leader. His comments must be accepted positively.”
He further said, “S M Krishna has written on the non-implementation of Yetha irrigation project in Maddoor taluk in Mandya. I have asked the concerned officials to submit a report on the same.”
“There is no groupism within the party. There is only one group, and that is the group of Congress. Our high-command is stronger than any other party high-command,” he added.
After the meeting, Law minister along with Dinesh Gundurao, H C Mahadevappa and Mahadev Prasad headed to drought-hit areas of five taluks in Mysuru.
