Mysuru: BJP MLA Suresh Kumar and former state law minister Suresh Kumar lashed out at the state government accusing it of demoralising the efficient state police force.

Speaking to media at the Press Club in city on July 12, Suresh Kumar came down heavily on the state government for bringing down the morale of state police to a new low through Kempaiah. Advisor to the home minister is not required in the present situation but the government created the post more out of political motive than real purpose, alleged Suresh Kumar.

Kempaiah is only an advisor and should restrict his role only to that and not meddle in the functioning of state police by holding high level official meetings, Kumar stated.
His constant intervention was demoralising the police department, Suresh Kumar opined.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should convene an emergency peace meet, demanded Suresh Kumar and asked him to stop playing politics in the company of Dakshina Kannada District In-charge Minister Ramanath Rai. BJP supports any initiative to restore peace in the trouble-torn district in the aftermath of violence and death of RSS activist Sharath Madival, Suresh Kumar clarified.

BJP has no role in the violent incidents that frequented DK and it appears even monsoon in the state is likely to fail this year, he said and sarcastically remarked, “It would not be a surprise if the government blames BJP for the failure of monsoon.”
