Supporters of Srinivas Prasad take out silent rally demanding his reinstatement

Mysuru: Around 2,500 supporters of former Karnataka revenue minister Srinivas Prasad took out a silent procession in the city demanding his reinstatement in to a suitable position.

Srinivas Prasad, a dalit leader from the region was dropped in the recent cabinet reshuffle by the chief minister Siddaramiah. He has shown his resentment in public against the chief minister’s move and has managed to gain lot of public sympathy from his Dalit community.

The supporters vented their ire on several occasions against the CM and today they have taken out a procession in his support demanding his reinstatement with some important role in the government.

The next move of the CM being watched closely by political pundits as only one slot is vacant after the recent cabinet reshuffle and two major aggrieved communities-mainly the Vokkaligas and the Dalits vying for the lone vacant position in the cabinet, the CM’s decision is to waited and watched for.
