Mysuru: The students of the Regional Institute of Education protested against the educational authorities for not recognising the integrated courses, such as, M.Sc Ed (physics) M.Sc Ed (Chemistry) M.Sc Ed (Maths) in NCTE and UGC. They also countered on various other issues.

Students said that the gazette notification of NCTE has given the information of introducing B.Sc, B.Ed and BA, BA- B.Ed – which are a four-year integrated courses but it is not clear about B.Sc, B,Ed the BA – B.Ed, that are being offered by the institution.
Moreover, the results and the marks-card of the batch 2008-2009 has been delayed. Besides there was a communication gap between the College, the Institution and the University of Mysore, owing to that marks card and degree certificate were not issued.
The students who passed out from the Regional Institute of Education, claim of not getting deserved jobs because the courses are not recognised by the NCTE and UGC.
The pursuing students of the institute has requested to the authorities regarding the solution of getting jobs but authorities have not responded yet to their request, for a long time now.
