Mysuru: The students of Manasagangothri and other colleges protested against the Government’s treatment of hostel students with the help of BVS. Their main grievance was on the quantum of food allowance given to the hostel students.

The quality of food given in the hostel is poor and students have been requesting to the Govt to improve the quality but there has been no response from the Government, they said.

Moreover, the  Government has hiked the prisoners daily meal budget to Rupees 75,  but the hostel students budget is only Rs: 35 they alleged.

The students protest rally was led up to the DC office where they handed over a letter to the DC, listing their grievances and seeking quick redressal.
