Mysuru: A student of a private nursing institution has filed a case against her college principal accusing him of sexual harassment on Saturday, May 14.

In her complaint to Krishnarajapuram police, Shwetha, a second year nursing student has accused the principal of repeatedly seeking sexual favours. According to her, when she refused to comply with his moves, he threatened her of depriving internal assessment marks and promotion to third year.

However, the principal has termed her accusations as baseless.

According to him, she has failed in a few subjects during the first year and is unlikely to get promoted to the third year as her academic performance is below par. In the pretext of sexual harassment, she is trying to blackmail him and damage his reputation.

KR Puram police have registered a case of sexual harassment and investigation is in progress.
