State govt failed to take action on Nanditha’s death case

Mysuru: District BJP women’s wing protested against the state government at the DC office in Mysuru here on Wednesday.

Police tried to stop them entering the premises of DC office but the rally lead by Tejaswini Ramesh Gowda, Malavika and other BJP workers managed to reach at the DC office entrance.

Tejaswini Ramesh Gowda said that Congress government has failed to control women harassment cases in the state. Gowda an ex MP, who spoke to the media as well as workers raised a question on the state government that what measures they have taken to control women harassment cases in the state?

She added that Siddaramaiah government has failed to take action against the culprits of Nanditha’s case in Shivamogga and started giving negligence statements in order to close the case. BJP is not doing any politics in Nanditha case but we are asking the justice to Nanditha and to her family.

Gowda further says that government has appointed Manjula Manasa as the chairperson of women’s commission but she has been controlled and not letting her to use her power in these cases.

“Women do not rated well in Congress but still Umashree managed to get the MLA ticket in 2013 Assembly election where senior leaders like Rani Satish and Motamma failed to get. So I want to know what magic Umashree made to get the ticket,” questioned Tejaswini to Umashree.

She said that state government has a do or die situation where a strong decision has to be taken to stop women harassment.
