Mysuru: The State government on Tuesday extended its formal invitation to members of the royal family including Pramoda Devi Wadiyar and Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar to participate in the Dasara festivities to be held from October 1 to October 11. Ministers HC Mahadevappa and H S Mahadeva Prasad represented the government who presented the invite to the members of the royal family.

Acknowledging the invitation, Pramoda Devi said that there is a need to find a solution considering the interest of the farmers of both the states and the issue has to be resolved harmoniously. Praying for rain in catchment areas of the Cauvery basin, Pramoda Devi said that there were several problems even during the construction of KRS reservoir.

An honorarium of Rs 36 lakh was given to the royal family. Yaduveer and Pramoda Devi were felicitated on the occasion.
