Mysuru: The BJP leadership is understood to have cornered its senior leader V. Srinivas Prasad during the “Parivarthan rally” by not extending an invitation to him.
However, V Srinivas Prasad rubbished media reports and attributed his absence at the rally held in Bengaluru yesterday to personal reasons. Prasad said that the state BJP president BS Yeddyurappa had been informed well in advance about his absence at the rally on account of a close relative’s death. “Will campaign and work towards the victory of BJP candidates in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar regions in the forthcoming elections,” Prasad stated reassuring BJP leadership.
Defeating state Chief Minister Siddramaiah is his main goal, claimed Prasad and added there will not be any compromise on that count.
Prasad assured of holding a press conference at 11 am on November 4 to clear the misgivings about media reports on his absence from the Parivarthan rally, widely termed a flop show on various counts including turnout.
