Mysuru: It was a proud moment for Karnataka, specifically Mysuru as a video of a lady standing in front of her house in USA, waving at a fleet of cars passing by went viral.

The lady is none other than Dr Uma Madhusudhan, who hails from Mysuru and is a practicing medical professional in the USA.

From an outset, though the video looks like some VVIP’s cavalcade was passing by, it turned out that the vehicles had turn up outside Dr Uma’s house to show their gratitude for the great service she rendered during the Corona crisis that has left the USA bruised.

The video begins with several vehicles with sirens on arriving at an avenue and slowly passing by. Several hold placards that read ‘Thank You’.

A man is then seen planting a placard in front of her house, which reads: “Dr Uma Madhusudhan has been recognised as one of South Windsor’s Unsung Heroes”

Uma is seen waving at the vehicles in absolute pride and happiness, saying ‘Thank You’.

Uma is an alumnus of JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSSAHER).

Dr Uma Madhusudan of 1990 batch graduated from JSS Medical College in Shivarathreeshwara Nagar in the city. She is working at South Windsor Hospital, USA.

USA has seen 42,604 deaths and close to eight lakh confirmed COVID cases.
