Badari who is a software engineer by profession, learnt yoga 15 years ago and started to it as more of a profession. In the last 15 years, he has performed Shirsasana in more than 1000 places of historical significance and tourist places across South East Asia, the UK and the US.

He then decided to help rural people who are not much aware about yoga and thus started an innovative program called ‘Yog Gram’. On June 20, which was Gurupurnima, which is considered auspicious day to practice yogic sadhana and meditation, Badari started Yog Gram from Gayanalli of KR Nagar Taluk. He spent nearly three hours with people. To start with, he interacted with them and later along with the majority of the students performed few asanas and even taught them basic computer skills and also created awareness about importance of nature. He also planted few saplings in the village.

On Tuesday, on account of the International Yoga day, he visited Government Kamalapura School in Periyapatna Taluk. Along with students Badari celebrated international yoga day by performing few asanas. Speaking to newskarnataka.com, Badari said “Yoga should reach all the people, though in city there are many yoga centres it’s not the same in rural areas, hence I decided to promote yoga in rural areas. As I am also well aware about computers I also decided to teach basics of computer to students. If students practice Pranayama, they will improve their concentration and memory. By June 20, 2017, I have planned to cover 350 Gram Panchayats in state”.

Badari who is working as volunteer in Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement is very much need of financial assistance to make this program more success. Badari also created Limca Book of Records and also entered the India Book of Records. To get financial assistance for the program he is also planning to perform in Malaysia and other places.
