Siddu crowns ‘Raajakumaara’

Mysuru: The Puneet Rajkumar starrer “Raajakumara” is making waves. After Puneet’s older brother and superstar Shiva Rajkumar shed tears watching the film in memory of their father and thespian Dr Raj Kumar, the latest sandalwood blockbuster has yet another fan.

This time it is none other than Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah himself going gaga over the film. On his official twitter account, the CM has written that after a long time, he had watched a Kannada film which made him feel elated. “Raajakumara brings back the memories of Dr Raj Kumar,” said the CM.

It is said that after hectic campaigning for the Gundlupet/Nanjangud by-polls and on hearing that intelligence reports state that the Congress had garnered good support from the voters in the by-polls, the CM had told his close associates that he wanted to watch a film. Knowing it fully well that the CM is a diehard fan of Dr Raj Kumar, they locked on Puneet Rajkumar starrer “Raajakumara”, which happens to be a tribute to the thespian.

The CM is said to have telephoned Puneeth Rajkumar before going to the theatre and told him that he was watching Raajakumara and that he is a huge fan of Dr Raj. During the conversation, Puneeth is said to have told the CM that he wished to meet him in person and seek his blessings. Keeping up his words, Puneeth had met the CM on Monday and spent some time with the him.
