Nanjangudu: Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Udupi Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandalaje has said that despite basking in glory of presenting his 12th budget, the contribution of the CM for his own home district seems to be ‘zero’.

With Nanjangudu Assembly Segment running into by polls, the BJP has intensified its campaigning and while vouching for BJP candidate V Srinivas Prasad in Debooru village here, Karandalaje said that when Yeddyurappa was the CM of the state, he had granted 1000 houses per village, but the Siddaramaiah government has brought down the number to 10.

“Siddaramaiah government had promised people of providing 30 kg rice for Rs 1, but now he has been giving only three kg rice, which is a tragedy. Nanjangudu has become a prestige issue for the CM and hence he is making promises that will be too big a bite for him to swallow. The CM’s commitment towards fulfilling the promises seems to be rather nil,” she said adding that the people of Nanjangudu are measuring the work done by the BJP and by the Congress and their inclination is towards the BJP already.
