Mysore, Apr 22: The legislative constituency of K R in Mysore has been a testing ground for minister S A Ramdas and the legislative constituency of Varuna has been a testing ground for opposition leader Siddaramaiah in the upcoming assembly elections. The people have already begun speculating the poll outcome.
Varuna legislative constituency gets prominence because Siddaramaiah had to face competition from 26 candidates. When compared with other constituencies, it’s the most sought after constituency with highest number of candidates.
The former CM B S Yeddyurappa’s former personal assistant Ka Pu Siddalingaswamy has been frequenting this constituency since a few years and had done ground work for soliciting the votes by luring the voters with money.
Siddalingaswamy always wanted to contest against Siddaramaiah since five years. Accordingly, there would be stiff competition between Siddaramaiah and Siddalingaswamy. Nonetheless, the votes are likely to be distributed owing to many numbers of candidates contesting in the upcoming assembly elections. The victory will not be limited to higher majority, as a few analysts forecast. Although Siddaramaiah who was projected as future CM hopes to win the elections, he has apprehension deep in his heart.
