Mysuru: There seems to be no respite for K Marigowda, prime accused in former Mysuru DC Shikha abuse case as the court adjourned the hearing on his bail plea to August 20.
Yet again court denies bail to Marigowda in threat to DC case-1Investigation officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Rajshekhar submitted  case diary to the judge before the proceeding began in the court. The judge asked the ACP whether a copy has been handed over to the prosecutor for which the ACP answered in affirmative. When the prosecutor refuted ACP’s claims the judge asked the ACP whether he was lying.

After hearing the arguments from both ends 7th additional district and sessions judge C. Chandrashekhar adjourned the case related to the bail plea to August 20th though Marigowda’s  lawyer sought bail .

Marigowda surrendered on August 3, later sent to judicial custody. With today’s decision Marigowda has to spend few more days in jail as his earlier attempts to get bail failed.

It may be brought to light that DC Shikha was verbally abused by Marigowda, a former ZP president when the CM was in city to attend an Ifthar party. Soon after the CM left the government guest house, Marigowda and his supporters verbally abused and threatened DC Shikha. She, instead of following CM’s cavalcade, went to Nazarbad police station and lodged a complaint.
