Servant-turned-gold thief nabbed with jewellery worth Rs 3 Lakh

Mysuru: A man who stole gold from the house that had employed him was nabbed by the Lakshmipuram police, here on Wednesday, February 20.

The name of the accused is Srinivas, a resident of Ballenahalli village of Mandya district.

During the investigation, Srinivas has said that he was working as a servant in the house of a person named Balaji.

Srinivas has also accepted that he had stolen gold from the locker.

The police have recovered around 105 grams of gold amounting to Rs. 3,00,000 from him.
