Section 144 to continue in Mysuru till Friday midnight

Mysuru: Prohibitory orders under IPC Section 144 imposed in Mysuru city following the brutal killing of  BJP worker Raju’ Kyatamarnahalli on Sunday, has been extended till Friday midnight, stated a release by City Police Commissioner B Dayanand.

However, the situation in Udayagiri, Kyatamaranahalli and surrounding areas returned to normalcy on Wednesday, but heavy police security continued in the region.

Shops and other business establishments in Udayagiri, Kyatamaranahalli, Ghousianagar, Rajivnagar, Sathagalli, Shantinagar and others remained open on Wednesday after a total shutdown for the last two days.

Meanwhile, former chief minister and senior BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa is expected to visit Raju’s house in Kyatamaranahalli on Thursday morning.
