Kushalanagara: The second batch of tuskers that will partake in magnificent Jumbo procession during Dasara Utsav in Mysore were send off after offering traditional puja nearby Cauvery Nisargadhama, here on Tuesday September 24.
The tuskers forty-year-old Harsha, forty-nine-year-old Vikram, forty-three-year-old Prashant, fifty-three-year-old Vijaya and thirty-two-year-old Gopi arrived with full attire from Dubare training camp, while the state forest minister B Ramanat Rai offered puja before beginning their journey.
Meanwhile, the dignitaries offered sugarcane, joggery and plantains to the jumbos who are accompanied with mahouts Chikka, Chinnappa, Rajamani, Sari, Linga and their families towards their journey to palace city.
The minister Ramanat also prayed to deity Chamundeshwari goddess to intercede all the ill fortune during Dasara Utsav.
The community forest division DFO Amaranat, DFO Cheluvaraju, ACF D N Nagaraju, Hunsoor wildlife division veterinary Dr Umashankar, Kushalanagara range forest officer M M Acchappa and others were also present.
