Mysuru: It was intended to show how honest the bank is in its dealing and hence, when a journalist from Mysuru surrendered his credit card, the HDFC bank returned his 1 paisa that was in his account through a cheque. However, the move has made the bank a laughing stock.
R Krishna Kumar, a senior journalist with a leading national daily had discontinued his credit card with the bank and settled all the formalities related to the same.

However, after some days he received a courier through Blue Dart and in the parcel was a cheque of one paise.

However, this move has only earned embarrassment to the bank because the journalist has questioned how exactly  he can withdraw one paise.
