Mysuru: After a brief lull, mobike-borne chain-snatchers this morning snatched a 60 gram gold chain from a teacher in the busy Agrahara area while she was on her way to catch a bus to Nanjangud where she works.

The victim of the incident has been identified as Y.S.Rukmini, wife of Sridhar, a resident of Uttaradi Mutt road in Agrahara coming under K.R.Police limits.

It is reported that two mobike-borne miscreants, who pounced on Rukmini while she was walking on Harischandra Road to catch a bus to Nanjangud at about 9 am, managed to flee after snatching the chain.

K.R. Inspector Parashuramappa, who reached the spot on information, conducted a mahazar, registered a case and launched a hunt for the chain snatchers.

Meanwhile, another case of a futile bid to snatch a chain from a woman near K.D. Circle in Vijayanagar Police limits has been reported. The Police suspect the involvement of the same duo in this case also.
