Mysuru: The film Sathyadev IPS set for release at Uma theatre in the city has vanished in the wake of an imminent attack by pro-Kannada organisations against dubbed movies.

Flex banners were put up in front of Uma theatre by movie owners, who had planned four daily shows. Lashkar police arrived at the spot during night hours and informed the owners to drop the idea of releasing the movie and asked them to defer the date of release by a minimum of four days.

Snake Shyam Protests!

Encouraging dubbed movies will deprive local artistes of their livelihood, opined Snake Shyam, a member of Mysore City Corporation (MCC). He sat alone in protest against dubbed movies in front of Dr. Rajkumar’s statue located in the park named after the matinee idol.
