Mysuru: A bag with Rs 2.60 cr was found at Unnathinagar Skating Ground at Srimanth Extension in Mysuru on Monday.
The onlookers seemed shocked as they saw crisp Rs 1000 denomination notes stacked inside the bag.

A group of 10 to 15 Good Samaritans, after looking for the possible owners, then intimated the police. When the cops arrived, only 8 people remained with the bag of money. Then the money was counted and put inside the Garuda van in which three constables and one ASI had come to the spot.

The police after the necessary formalities left the spot with the money.

The question here is that despite a huge amount being recovered from a drain in the city, no media house was intimated about the same. Even after five days of the event, there is no development on the case.

The fact that the police has not informed about any development in the case to even the ones who called them to the spot has made way for suspicion.

It is said that when one of the Good Samaritans inquired the police about the owner of the money, the police said that they have forwarded the money to CM’s Relief Fund!
