Mysuru: Following agitation by environmentalists and other organisations over the development of Kukkarhalli lake by Mysuru University(MU), a two-member expert panel has been formed to assess the situation and submit the report.

Expert committee members, Professor Ramprasad, retired Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and retired chief engineer C N Babu will visit the lake area and take stock of the situation arising out of the confusion over lake development.

Two-member expert panel will be assisted by Mysuru Zoo Director Karikalan, University of Mysuru Psychology Professor Dr. Meva Singh, Botany Department Professor Prof. G R Janardhan, Lake Advisory Committee Convenor of K N Jayaramiah, member U N Ravikumar and executive engineer of MU technical division will accompany the experts during inspection of the lake on March 14.
