Mysuru: “Professors should motivate students and help them to pick right path in life”, said Rashmi V IAS, Administrative Training Institute (ATI) of government of Karnataka.

She was speaking during the valedictory function of 106th orientation programme for assistant professors of college and universities. She opined that professors should work as trainers and inspire for the students that there is life other than the professional degree, they strive for.
If the student needs counseling, professors should take initiative to conduct counseling for the students one to one.
The utilization of such programs improves the quality and skill in the teaching field.
Several participants shared their experience in orientation programme which helped them to improve knowledge and get more information.
Prof R Karpaga Kumaravel, Former Vice chancellor Madurai Kamaraj University and Director UGC Acdemic Staff College Bharathidasan University TN, Prof Lingaraja Gandhi Director UGC Acdemic Staff College University of Mysore were present.
