Mysore :The ban on processions at K R roundabout are exempted for the procession of Kannada Rajyotsav on November 1, said City Police Commissioner.
The procession to celebrate Kannada Rajyotsv will begin from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple, passing through K R roundabout, Sayyajirao Road, Vishveshwarayya roundabout (Ayurvedic circle), Irvin Road, Ashoka Road and concludes at Town Hall. As part of Kannada Rajyotsv, the NGOs and voluntary organizations will showcase the splendor of Karnataka in different tableaus on the occasion.
Earlier, the law enforcing agencies issued orders to ban protests and processions in the heart of Mysore town at K R roundabout. Since Kannada Rajyotsav is the mass celebration, the ban has been relaxed only for Kannada Rajyotsav on November 1. It was allowed to carry out the procession through K R roundabout.
The ban that was imposed by law enforcement agencies on February 19 and July 15 2011 at K R roundabout for holding protests and rallies will continue from November 2. The general public are urged to co-operate, stated the media release issued by City Police Commissioner Dr Salim.
