Maddur : Activists of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike staged a demonstration in front of the  K Gurushanthappa Government Hospital here on March 25, Monday  to condemn the  high-handed behaviour of  a  health assistant in the hospital.

The agitators alleged that  the patients visiting the  Government Hospital in the town were subject to a lot of inconvenience due to the absence of doctors and that the health  assistant Manjunath misbehaved with a media man who had been to the hospital to enquire.
VC Umashanker, District President of the Vedike said the public who too questioned the health assistant were abused and insulted.

The agitators who met the Hospital Administrative Officer CH Mahadevaiah  lodged a complaint against the Health Assistant and demanded action against him. The Hospital AO is learnt to have assured to consider the demand.
